Bard College Berlin (BCB) is a nonprofit liberal arts university accredited in Germany and the United States. BCB offers two Bachelor of Arts degrees: one in Economics, Politics, and Social Thought and one in Humanities the Arts, and Social Thought. Within these degrees, students specialize in fields like politics, economics, arts, ethics, or literature, in addition to taking courses in other disciplines that enrich and inform their specializations. Notably, all BCB students participate in the Core Curriculum, comprised of six courses taken over six semesters that examine major movements in intellectual history from Greek antiquity to Modernism. With 270 students from over 60 countries, BCB's campus is highly international. Through ERASMUS, the Bard College network, and bilateral exchange partnerships, students have the option to study abroad in places like the United States, Italy, France, Brazil, Hong Kong, and more. The Civic Engagement program distinguishes Bard College Berlin for its commitment to real-world impact, while the robust Internship program ensures that students gain work experience in Berlin’s vibrant nonprofit, startup, and arts scene. In the last five years, BCB graduates have gone on to pursue graduate studies at Cambridge University, UC Berkeley, and the University of Chicago, and to work in the fields of education, international relations, business development, and journalism. Students interested in learning more about Bard College Berlin are invited to attend our forthcoming Open Days on April 6 and June 1.
