Food System Sciences (M.Sc.)

Food systems are becoming increasingly more complex. The international master’s programme “Food System Sciences M.Sc.“ trains future decision-makers to understand present interdependencies between the various aspects influencing food production, distribution, and consumption.

Interdisciplinary basis followed by in-depth specializations in one of the food system areas Analytics in Life Sciences, Nutritional Physiology, Food Law, and Bioeconomy

Language of instruction: English
Duration: 2 years of full-time study
Academic requirements: Bachelor degree in Natural Sciences or Life Sciences or Social Sciences or Law or Economics or Nutrition and Health Sciences, and a language certificate ENGLISH level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). A language certificate GERMAN level A1 (CEFR) can be obtained during the first year of studies.
Application: online via the application portal CAMPUSonline. Applicants from outside the EU who have obtained their degree abroad have to upload the application documents also via uni-assist and undergo a fee-based special procedure.

Thus, the scientific analysis of the interrelationship between nutrition, movement and health are combined with relevant economic, legal, and sociological questions.
